external USB hard drive enclosures

Zone: Computer Hard Drives

I have a PC that is getting old and need to be replaced.
There are 2 hard drives in it, 12 gb and 80 gb if I recall correcltly
Is it possible to take these out of the computer and get enclosures for these to make them into external USB drives?

Yes you can but why not copy the contents from the 2 old drives onto the new pcs hard drive? Just connect each one in turn as a slave and copy any important data you want to keep. {link to personal commercial website removed by Callandor}

It says:
Western digital caviar
Enhanced IDE hard drive
160 gb

Nothing about ATA or SATA

Enhanced IDE means it is an ATA drive.
