Gateway 710 Raid 1, how to get data from raid drives off machine that won't boot?

Hello, I have a gateway 710 with a RAID 1 drive setup, 2 drives in the machine. It has overheated, and will not boot and I would like to remove the drives and extract the data. How do I do this with a RAID set of drives? I have pulled a drive from a "regular" pc, and just put it in an external drive before and was able to extract the data. I pulled one of the drives from the gateway out and put it in the external enclosure, but it does not recognize the drive. Do I have to get a special kind of enclosure for a Raid drive? What is the cheapest and quickest way to simply read the data off the drives (like get to "My Documents"? Thanks!Start Free Trial
