Internal Hard Drive Enclosure- what size should I get?

Hi,

I want to buy an enclosure for my internal hard drive to use via USB to my laptop. When I measure the physical drive with a tape measure it is 6"x4". When I go shopping the net, they seem to come in 2.5", 3.5" and 5.5". Is that measurement referring to the physical drive size?
