I'm getting the following error in the mornings when the computer is booted up:
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
This usually comes when there is no boot media, either HDD or OS CD. The thing is is that on Ctl + Alt + Del after the first boot Windows XP boots just fine. This happened almost every day - the computer is shut down nightly. The Hard drive's S.M.A.R.T says the drive is at 100% health. I've swapped the SATA ports over on the motherboard.
What I'm looking for is a reason for and solution to this problem. I know I can replace the drive and that is what I'll be doing if I can't work out why this is happening but I'd rather know why this is happening.
