Restore computer to factory settings

Hi Guys,

I want to return my old computer to its original factory settings. Its about  about 6 years and its just very slow to do everything. I have all the files I want backed up to an external drive.

I would prefer factory settings but its that not possible a full clean but leaving the operating system windows XP

Use the CDs that should have come with the system to wipe the drive and reinstall.

the packard bell came with 'restore disks'  - usually purple or highly coloured
put these into the machine and boot of the CD restore disc and follow the instructions.
that will restore your packard bell to factory settings.

I haven't got the restore floppy disks, is there anyway of doing it via the bios settings like a Dell computer

not the PB - the PB does come with either with floppy restore discs or restore CDs.

search for a data scrubber / windows washer off the internet and use.

then create a new user - use this use to delete all other users.

then  use disc clean up then use disc defrag
use data scrubbers and shredders (search internet ) and use.
