Browse All TopicsHi,
I had installed this HD a while back on my MacBook Pro (running Windows XP Pro). I have been using the drive more or less successfully for over a month. "More or less" because the drive isn't usually recognized when waking from Standby mode (no problem when booting up).
I'm finding this to be fairly irritating since I have to fix the problem by "safely removing" the drive, ejecting the controller card and plugging it back in. When I do that it takes a couple of seconds but is then recognized as drive H:\. Is there a fix to this issue or am I just missing a simple configuration issue?
BTW, my searches about this issue have all lead to people having issues of the eSATA drive not being recognized when initially installed.
Thanks very much in advance-
Jens

I would check the power down options in the Device manager and in the control panel power options.
If you shut down too much, you lose the drive.
Not always an easy solution and it may depend on the controller card and drivers.
I hope this helps !
