Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini Not Working

I have a Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini 160GB which has been working for quite some time as a music storage drive. I connected it today and the little light goes on but my computer does not detect it. I tried connecting it to a different computer and the same thing happened. I then loaded up the SeaTools diagnostic utility from Maxtor and the drive is also not detected. Could anyone offer a suggestion as to how I can fix the drive with the least data loss possible?
