Browse All TopicsHi!
The problem is that my HDD is recognized by BIOS but it doesn't boot. I had 2 OSs,4 partitions made with PQ PartMagic and booted whenever I need the other OS with PQBoot utility.(i had '98 and win2k)
The problem appeared when I took out my HDD(switched off from win'98 where i can't see my win2k partition, and all my partitions are FAT32,no NTFS) off the system and went to a friend who might had a virus problem(system crashes(win 98) even crashes when doing a '98 install!!). I tried to setup my hdd from his BIOS but i couldn't as it didn't recognize my HDD which is a Seagate Barracuda ATA-4,40GB.
After install it again(the HDD) in my computer, it said NON BOOT DISK....you know the msg.
I booted from a win'98 bootdiskette, and tried to run fdisk. Fdisk won't even saw my HDD!!
Previously i got that msg that says that i may have installed a 3rd party partition handler like PMagic, and i need to boot again with the floppy and run Disk Boot Manager...but i can't see my HDD!!!
I heard that doing a Low-Level format might help,as I don't want to restore my files on it, just make it work again, to set up again an OS....
Thank you very much!!!
