Help with Hard drive question

hi.
i have a Digital Pc 3100 Short tower
I was wondering if i can upgrade my old 2 gig HDD to a ata 40 gig drive?
its support Ultra DMA 33
but i asked a techinal operator and they say it will work fine!.
but not too confindent
Comp Specs:
200Mhz w/MMX
160MB RAM
Win 98 se
2 gig HDD -both Primary IDE
1.6 gig HDD (Slave)/
ATAPI CR/RW(Benq) 32x10x40(runs fine!)-Secondary IDE
40x CD ROM /
Tv Excel Tuner card
S3 Virge DX/GX 4MB VGA PCI
Sound blaster Vibra16 PCI
Lan 10mbs

Motherboard supports 90 Mhz to 366Mhz either Intel/AMD
FSB 66.66mhz( anyone know how to increase i wanna overclock lol)
