"read only cdr files won't open

Asked by ArtG in Hard Drives & Storage

Tags: , ,

Dell XPST PII 550 running Windows 98SE burnt copies of files to disc (cdr) on Plextor drive. Installed new hard drive with windows 2000 Pro. Now I cannot open the files I burnt to disc because they are marked "read only". These would be MSWord, PageMaker, Photoshop PSD, tiffs and jpegs. There are two folders on this disc recorded at the same session. I can open all the images but one in this folder but no images or files at all in the second folder. These files are not crucial to me but I would really like to know what would cause this.
Thanks,
