A client gave me a Mini-DVD disc (Maxell 1.4gig 30 Minute) that he used in his Hitachi DVD Camcorder for recording. Unfortunately, somehow, he didn't finalize the disc. I have been trying to extract the .VBO file of the disc which is about 1.3gigs so that I can convert it to an MPEG and burn it to a full size DVD for viewing.
Currently if when I put the DVD into a DVD player, DVD-ROM, DVD-R/W, or DVD-RAM drive Windows will not recognize it. I purchased a program that is capable of doing Mini-DVD recovery for Hitachi Mini-DVD cameras (along with many other recovery features) called CDRoller; http://www.cdroller.com.
I am able to view the .VBO file with CDRoller but when I try to copy the file to my hard drive the process freezed at 34% everytime. I setup the program along the guidelines in the Help files for my Hitachi camcorder but still no luck.
Any ideas on this topic? Any help on DVD file recovery would be extremely helpful! Thanks guys.
