Question

Replacement RAID 1 Drive

I have a Win 2000 server with a Mylex AcceleRaid 250 controller. Controller has one disk array setup; 2 Seagate ST136475LW in a RAID 1 configuration (drives are 36GB, Ultra 2 Wide Barracudas). The controller has one drive marked as off line and threatened data corruption when I tried to force it back on line, so I would like to replace it.

My question is, can the replacement be of the same size but a U320 Cheetah type?

Any words of wisdom for rebuilding the mirror?
