Installing a hard drive, tips? cable?

I am installing this drive into my dell dimension 9100:

Anyone got any tips as to doing this? For instance i am not sure what they mean by spread spectrum clocking... I know id like this one to be the slave and leave the 80 gig one that came with it as the master...

Ive installed RAM, video cards, and a dvd rw drive but not a hard drive so im not familiar with the procedure. I am going to want to partition it after Im done... (ill be installing windows xp pro and partitioning from the blue screen install) Also going to get the Acronis package with their christmas special (http://www.digitalriver.com/dr/v2/ec_Main.Entry17c?SID=44905&SP=10034&CID=206076&PID=&PN=1&V1=1405167&CUR=840) and will using the partitioning capabilities of that...

Having had a look at the documentation, it is not quite open the case, toss the hard drive in it and away you go...

[edit] I just opened up the box for the hard drive and it doesnt have the "secure connect cable" to connect it to the motherboard... and there isnt an extra cable in the pc itself to do so... theres a power cable but not a cable to connect it to the motherboard. what can i ask for when i go to the store and which store can i get one from? I got this from newegg and it only came with the drive... ;(
