Question

CD still empty after being written "successfully"

I used to have power calibration error under w2k when burning DVD using Samsung SH-S162L burner. Under Knoppix there is no more power calibration error, but the problem is that even if the writing is successful, actually nothing has been written on the disc. I used CD instead of DVD to narrow the problem first.
The firmware is up to date. Playing back DVD is OK. The CD used is TDK.

Is the burner faulty?
