Browse All TopicsI have a system with several drives.
I have 3 drives in a RAID 5 Array.
One large non-raided SATA drive.
and one IDE HD.
The problem that I am having is that one of my drives is occasionally doing this thing where it spins down (turns off?) and I hear a slight click. Everything I have read tells me this is impending doom for one of my drives...
The problem... WHICH ONE? I am experiencing no problems or issues with my system... The occasional noise that makes my computer sound like a refrigerator though is kind of annoying. (Not to mention the slight fear of an impending failure)
Is there a program that I can use to monitor which drives are actively spinning via software...? I don't want to have to try and unhook drives one at a time... just to TRY and listen for it to NOT make the noise... That seems like a huge hassle...
