Hello all,
The issue that I am having is, we have a Supermicro server with a Qlogic 2340 2GB HBA connected to a Brocade SilkWorm 3800 fiber switch connected to a HP MSA1000 san with two MSA30's attached to that. On the san we are storing our SQL DB files files for SQL 2000 running on Win 2003 ent on the SuperMicor server. We have been doing some perfomance testing and if we move the DB files localy and run a stored proceedure it takes about 1 minute to complete. Now running the same stored proceedure with the files on the San it take about 20 minutes. I expected some slowdown but that seems like way to big of a difference. Any suggestions would help. The MSA1000 controllers are on the latest firmware and are set to Active/Active with 512mb of cache in each controller.
