Whats in place>
MB: GA-P35-DS3P
Disk 0: WD 160g
Disk 1: WD 1.5tb
Disk 2: WD 500g
Disk 4: WD 1.5tb (eSata external)
Disk 5: WD 500g (eSata external)
All drives appear in bios. Disk4 reports as 1.5tb / Disk1 reports as 500g.
I've tried three different partition managers and they all identify the drive model correctly but only report 500g. (I mainly use Boot-IT NG)
Disk1 did report correctly under Win7 > moved some data to it > installed Disks4 & 5 > then Disk1 went from NTFS to RAW format following reboot. Data recovered OK via GetBack and can since partition / format the drive but only to this reported 500g. Disk is new. WD diagnostics thus far report drive as 500g but don't report any problems.
Do I or don't I have a dud drive? ... or any other advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers!
