Browse All TopicsI have a friends PC that the only info he has given me is that it has been acting strange lately. Probably a virus or something. Anyways, I attempted to boot up the PC and got as far as the Windows Splash loading screen and it started a reboot again. Attempted Safe Mode, same thing.
The drive can be seen in the CMOS.
I removed the drive and put it in my NexStar USB hard drive dock. Windows XP sees the drive and assigns a drive letter. When I click on the drive I get "E:\ drive not accessible. The file or directory is corrupted or unreadable."
Is there any way of recovering from this? or is this a reformat case?
If it hadn't done a partial boot, I would think the drive is toast but it seems like it just needs a repair.
