Browse All TopicsI have a HP ProLiant DL320 G5 that is running Windows Server 2003 R2. The server has two drive bays which each have a 160 GB hot-swappable drive in it. The server itself is currently being used as both the Primary Domain Controller and a File Server.(Yes, i know that this is not a good combination, but this is how this company set it up a while ago) Regardless, currently the server shows only 148.2 GB of space available total. It is obvious to me that some sort of RAID has been set up beforehand, I am just unsure of which specific RAID level has been applied. We are now running out of space to store files so I guess here are my questions:
1) What level of RAID am I using, or how do I go about finding out?
2) What would be the best/easiest option for expanding our hard drive space in this situation? (Please be as thorough as possible as I am not very experienced in this sort of thing!)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
