Removing bad sectors from a hard disk drive

i have a hard disk with many bad sectors in it, assuming i have ran scandisk thoroughly, i want those bad sectors repaired and be on its good condition again, what freeware will i must have and where to have it? does Norton Disk Doctor do the same? if not, what does it do? how about checkdisk what does it do? give me opinions on how to save my hard driveStart Free Trial
