The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

USMT 3.01 Deployment has broken

Asked by bwoodall in MS System Center, Server Applications

Tags: SCCM, System Center Configuration Manager 2007, USMT, KB974571

8 Windows 2003 SP2 - SCCM 2007 R2 servers - Mixed Mode
I have used this same USMT TS to migrate over 200 computers to Vista so far. I migrated a single computer Tuesday night successfully and that was the last time I have been able to capture any user data. I have uninstalled the SCCM client reinstalled the SCCM and ran the clear cert. CCMSetup RESETKEYINFORMATION=TRUE command and still get the following errors.

The web report says the following:
==============================[ OSDSMPClient.exe ]============================== Command line: "osdsmpclient.exe" /capture Client joined to the XXXX domain. Client is a member of the XXXXXXX site. GetAdaptersAddressess entry point is supported. DhcpGetOriginalSubnetMask entry point is supported. Adapter {3379BC36-AB6A-498B-8535-5E3E4699A69C} is DHCP enabled. Checking quarantine status. ExecuteCaptureRequestMP failed (0x80092024). ExecuteCaptureRequest failed (0x80092024).

The execmgr.log blows up with the following:

OnContentAvailable invalid request GUID handle

The first step in this TS is to restart the computer so that no files will be locked during the capture.

Restart Computer
Capture Windows Settings
Capture Network Settings
Request User State Storage
Set User Capture Sequence Variable - TSV= OSDMigrateAdditionalCaptureOptions  Value= /ue:*\* /ui:XXXX\* /uel:90
Capture User Files and Settings
Release User State Storage

Then format, install OS then third party apps.
The TS is set to try the capture 3 times then fail. Are there any server side logs that may point me in the right direction?
