SataII Drive + Sata Enclosure + SataII Host = ???

Hi

I've got a Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 32 MB Cache 500 GB SataII Drive and want to buy an enclosure for it.I'm interested in the model Antec MX-1. It has usb and esata conectors. Its main drawback is that it uses a SunPlus spif215a chipset which in principle is designed only to deliver Sata (not SataII) features.

In case I use the eSata conector in a motherboard with SataII capabilities, does the spif215a chipset influence in the communication between the hard drive (SataII) and the motherboard (SataII) so that I won't get SataII features (hot pluging, greater speed if the hard drive would be fast enough, NCQ and so on)?

I mean, I considered eSata as a direct conection between the hard drive and the motherboard, so does really the enclosure chipset play a role in the eSata comunication process?

Thanks in advance

Pd: What about using an eSata express card for a laptop as the host? Are they able to keep SataII capabilities?
