Quantum SuperLoader 3 - Drive recognized but library is not

I am trying to install a Quantum SuperLoader 3 on Windows Server 2008 to use with Commvault 8.0.  I am using a LSI22320SE SCSI controller (http://www.lsi.com/storage_home/products_home/host_bus_adapters/scsi_hbas/lsi22320se/index.html?remote=1&locale=EN).  The OS recognizes the tape drive, but does not recognize the library (Medium Changer).  All of my SCSI settings seem to be correct but I cannot figure it out. Help would be appreciated.

The common cause for the OS to see only the tape drive and not the library happens when both are on the same SCSI ID but different LUNs and the controller is configured for LUN support disabled which is the default for many.

Check the controller documentation or go into the controller setup and make sure LUN support is enabled.

A SCSI ID is like an address on the bus, and a LUN is like an address at that ID.

Like an apartment building, all tenets have the same street address but a different apartment #.

In the controller BIOS, LUN is enabled and seems to be working.  At the controller POST both devices in the SuperLoader are recognized as address 8 and address 8 w/LUN 1.  The controller host is address 7.  After confirming all of the settings are correct, I am still unable to see the Medium Changer in the Device Manager.

Try changing the SCSI ID for the library to an ID below 7.

Just in case
power down the server
power down the library
make the config change
power up the library
wait for it to finish initialization
power up the server

Well then I don't know why Windows would not see the library.
Check the Event Viewer System log.

I'm guessing you have tried the latest driver for the library.

Quantum has a pretty good diagnostic program try that out. You go to the product page and then support for it and there is a link.
