Tape Loader symmpi error with Windows 2003

Hi,

We are having issues with our Sun Storedge L8 tape autoloader running on a sunfire v20z with Windows Server 2003 SP2. We lost power a couple of days ago and since then we are having issues completing backups. The tape gets written for a few GBs and then we get a symmpi error on Windows saying: "Event Type:      Error

Description:
The device, \Device\Scsi\symmpi3, did not respond within the timeout period." I have swapped out the L8 and put in a new one so I know its not the tape loader. I plan on changing the SCSI cable to see if that makes a diffrerence. Anything else I should be trying? THanks.Start Free Trial
