We have two EMC Clariion Storage Sytems one is a CX300 with a RS232 Console port and on is a CX500 with a RJ45 Console port.

I don't know the current configuration and want to reinitialise the system. Butt the problem is when a connect a laptop to the Console port and try to setup a connection a always get the error message "777 - The connection attempt failed because the modem on the remote computer is out of order."

I tried like every connection setting i could think of and as far as i know every null modem cable that exist.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Did the previous owner diable the console port and if so can i reset the system to factory default. I removed a SP board and saw a reset jumper, didn't have the guts to do that.
