I have a an environment that has a Win2K3 domain controller that has four iscsi volumes mapped to it using a software iscsi initiator. The SAN is a 12TB Equilogic (don't remember the model). All users access these four drives via UNC path or drive mapping back to the shares on the domain controller. The network speed is 1 gigabit.
I am hearing complaints due to "slowness" I have not been here long but have concerns about accessing iscsi volumes that are mapped from a domain controller. Please let me know if there are any reasons NOT to have it set up this way. If this setup is not advisable, please provide a better solution.
