Question
ISL - Brocade 300 to McData 4700
I currently have an ISL from a McData ES 4700 (firmware 09.08.01 2) to a Brocade 300 (firmware v6.1.0c). Currently all the zoning is done on the McData ES 4700.
Can I clear the config's and recreate the zones on the Brocade 300?

Yes - set the domain ID of the Brocade switch so that it is numerically lower than the the McData and off you go. The switch with teh lowest domain ID becomes the principal switch in a fabric, and it controls the zoning. Since you already have active configs and each switch has a copy, there's no need to start from scratch.
Note that changing domain ID is disruptive to both teh switch and fabric - it will force a swicth reboot of the Brocade switch.
