DPM failed to update permissions used for end-user recovery

Hello
yesterday I installed the September rollup KB970868 on my DPM 2007 server.
Since then, I receive every half an hour an error:

Failed to update permissions used for end-user recovery on <DPM server>.
Permissions update failed for the following reason: (ID 3123)
The job failed because of an unexpected error (ID 914 Details: The stub
received bad data (0x800706F7)).

I wanted to check the End-User Recovery settings, the checkbox is enabled
but the button "Configure Active Directory" remains greyed out.
I really don't know what to do now
Any help would be welcome, thanks
