yes. I tried using a cable that is already working at gigE and moving it to the netApp and it shows as 100H.
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsWe have a NetApp FAS270 SAN that we've used for the past 6 years or so. I didn't install it and I never looked at it's configuration really until today.
We recently swapped out our core switch and since being plugged into the new switch I've noticed it's performance has been terrible. Checking the switch port I see that it's autonegotiating 100H instead of 1000F like both the NIC and the switch port are capable of.
On the NetApp side you can hard code it for 10 or 100 but the only option for 1000 is auto (10/100/1000) which is what it's currently on. If I try to set the switch port to force 1000 it shows as disconnected. The physical NICs on the netapp say 10/100/1000 on them so I'm sure they're capable of doing gigE.
I've swapped cables, tried different switch ports, and tried plugging back into the original switch all with the same results (100H negotiated).
Any help is much appreciated.
