How to uninstall endpoint protection

After having problems with one XPPro machine i decided to uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection.
Everything seemed to go ok, i rebooted and the endpoint framework was still there (in the taskbar) and the rtvscan service was still running. When i opened Endpoint it told me "Your Computer is protected - No problems detected" and under is written "No Symantec protection technologies are installed".

There is no symantec entry in the uninstall programs

How to get rid of it completely?

Thanx

Thank you for posting the Removal Tool link.  I have to remove Endpoint from one of our networks this afternoon.

Is there a Removal Tool available for the Server as well?  I am pretty much resigned to doing it manually, but if there is a useful and safe tool available that would certainly help things along RE: time and getting rid of all the Symantec garbage that tends to stay on a system.

Hi all

The file that Sanan136 put for download in  "http://downloads.jmlamb.net/symantec/SEP1132bitRemoval.exe" is an trojan horse known by the name Generic.dx.

Does anyone have access to the real removal tool provided by Symantec?

In some other forum someone post this: "There is a removal tool available, but it is not publicly downloadable.  To get a copy, you'll have to contact Symantec Support."

Is it true ?

Thanks in advanced.
ruiguim, I'll copy directly from my last post to this thread:
