New virus which disable show hidden files and folders

Asked by reoroman in Latest Threats, Windows XP Operating System, Desktop Anti-Virus

When I click on d driver its opening in new window although the settings is set to open in the same window plus the virus (I think it is a new one) keeps hiding the hidden files and folders& I tried regedit and going to path

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL

And make the CheckedValue Reg_DWORD 0 to  1
But it is not working, and still get back to value 0 after refresh.
Even I delete it and it create it self with the same previous value.

I tries this but it doesn't work:
1- Click Start > Run > regsvr32 /i browseui.dll > enter
A confirmation message will appear like given below
2- Click Start > Run > regsvr32 /i shell32.dll
Wait for the confirmation and click OK.
none of the above methods work, I download Smart Virus Remover from here:
Using this Virus Remover please restore your Windows settings and your show hidden files and folders will be set to default.
Please spare a few moments from your precious time and tell us about your experiences.
It doesn't work.

I have windows XP professional and KASPERSKY antivirus latest update and full scanned for pc.

Please help.
