Outlook Express Keeps Sending Message

When sending message, message error/warning comes up that message could not be sent, but there is no acutal erro and the message is really sent.OE continues to send the message everytime it sends/receives as the message stays in the outbox until manually delted.Tried all the obvious, compact folders, deleted outbox.dbx, rebooted, check send folder size.
