We are running Exchange 2003 SP2 on a Server 2003 box with Symantec Mail Security. Beginning yesterday, I am getting the following Administrator Alert:
Subject of the message: Contract of Settlements
The attachment(s) "contract_1.zip" was Quarantined.
This was done due to the following Symantec Mail Security settings:
Scan: Auto-Protect
Rule: Encrypted File Rule
I have probably gotten about 200 of these in the last 24 hours. Its not for every user, and includes users mailboxes where the user is disabled. As the message indicates, these emails are being quarantined, and we have sent emails to all users to delete any email that contains this attachment.
I am not a virus expert, but can someone tell me if this is now in our email system and how I can delete it to stop getting these alerts?
