Symantec Endpoint caused endless reboot

We have been using Symantec Endpoint v11 for 6 months with no problem.  I have a lenovo x300 that, when the Symantec client is install, the notebook randomly reboots.  When the notebook starts back up, the Endpoint client will show "Installing ....." and then finally reboot.  Has anyone seen this issue?

Do you have any GPO distribution package set on the server?
if so then try removing that..!

Nope, no GPO distribution, but thanks.
Do not use Symantes End Point! We are actually on the phone with MS and said remove this ASAP because of known issues.

WHat are the known issues?  Symantec has been around a long time.

FYI, we actually found that there was some Lenovo software (fingerprint sw) was causing a conflict.
We had a 2008 x64 system up and running without any issues. Then users couldn't access shares. The issues was resolved by restarting the server then after about a 5 minutes later the files and programs on the drive started to hang. We then called MS they went straight to End point and told us to remove the software because of issues like ours. They said Endpoint has caused problems with AD replication, DNS, VPN, DFS, and other core services. This was the most updated verison of Endpoint. Once removed all problems stopped.

I installed the Endpoint product when it first came out on 2003 servers which caused the servers to go crazy with access denied errors and shared folder issues. So, I removed the End Point product which fixed the issue.

End point will install the Network Access Control service even if you say not to. The service might be stopped but the registry keys are still added which causes issues.

Endpoint is a total code re-write from prior verisons. The Symantec help desk hasn't been a good source of information. When I tried to install the End point Manager on a server that had Sharepoint installed on it the Manager wouldn't come up so I called Symantec and after two weeks they told me they would give me a refund since the software wouldn't work with Sharepoint installed they guess.
