When you add a folder exclusion in Forefront Client Security does it also exclude all of the subfolders within the excluded folder?

Exclusions are specific at directory and at file level.
A good guide on exclusions can be found here if you have not seen it already.

Thanks for the reply. Based on what I can see in the docs it's just the directory that you exclude, not anything below that. I haven't found (but will keep looking for) a reference to a trailing \ causing recursive exclusion.
Do you have any recollection where you may have seen that reference? If I manage to find it I'll link to it here.

Yup. The idea is to exclude a given directory and everything underneath it if I can. If I can't that's fine to. I just need to get back to my supervisor with a definitive "Yes we can" or "No we can't" answer. Unfortunately the documentation is clear (or I haven't found the relevant reference yet).
