There are so many antiviruses. Many are good. The choice will depend on cost, your preferences, what you want to gain and the specifics of your computer.

I personally like Kaspersky. Bitdefender is effective but I did not like interface or slowing of my computer.
If you want a free one, then a good free one is Avast, works well, and has same scanning engine as Kaspersky.

The best Antivirus is any antivirus of your choice with the very UPDATED virus definition. Some free antivirus are as good as a commercial ones.
Many users have a misconception on Antivirus, they thought by just installing one particular antivirus and they will be protected today and the rest of the year. Regular update of Virus definition and updates are mandatory. And guess what, some will require you to pay nothing :)

Avast is very good, in our home network we have 2 pcs with Avast and 2 with Kaspersky.
Bear in mind also that there is no antivirus that catches everything.
For a paid one I'll go for Kaspersky.
For a free one I'll go for Avast.

This question comes up so often, and every time it generates a flurry of contrasting opinions.
"...Which anti virus software is the best as you think?..." The answer is: the one which does what you want it to, and which you feel most comfortable with.
I personally used the free edition of Bitdefender for a long time, but recently I switched to AVG and am happy with it. Other people like Avast or NOD32...hell, you'll even find people who swear by Norton!!!
If you like it and it works, it's "the best as you think?"
