NTLDR Missing error on multiple XP workstations over last couple days

I have a client that has had 5 different PCs come up with NTLDR is missing error on boot.  There is no real corrolation between the machines.  All machines are running Windows XP Pro with SP2.  It has happened over the last couple weeks.  When we look the NTLDR is not in the root of the C drive and the only system files there are the Pagefile and the Hybernate file.  If we restore the NTLDR from other system it seems to work.  They have Symnatec AV Corp running and up to date.  We have removed one of the drives and scanned it for virus with Trend Micro as well.  Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.Start Free Trial
