You should be able to remove it with an updated anti-virus utility.
Symantec has a free removal tool here.

I would also suggest starting your system in SafeMode and running a full system scan with your anti-virus applications.
Here's a link that details how to enter SafeMode.
(In short, reboot and hit F8. Select SafeMode and proceed as normal.)

Forgot to post the instructions for SDFIX
You should print out these instructions, or copy them to a NotePad file for reading while in Safe Mode, because you will not be able to connect to the Internet to read from this site.
Double click on SDFix.exe. It should automatically extract a folder called SDFix to your system drive (usually C:\). Please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
Restart your computer
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
Choose your usual account.
Open the SDFix folder and double click on RunThis.bat to start the script.
Type Y and press Enter to begin the script.
It will start cleaning your PC and then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
Press any key to restart the PC.
Your system will take longer than normal to restart as the fixtool will be removing files.
When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished.
Press any key to end the script and to load your desktop icons.
A text file should automatically open, so please upload the contents to
you still have some things showing up
you need to do the following copy and paste the items between the lines into notepad
--------------------------
file::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wodfam
--------------------------
Then click File > Save
Name the file "CFScript.txt" (including the quotes)
Save the file to your Desktop
The main ComboFix.exe program should be on your Desktop
Drag the file you just created CFScript.txt and drop it on the main ComboFix.exe icon
Please wait for ComboFix to finish running
Please Note: Do not mouse click in the combofix window while it is running - this may cause your system to hang/crash.
once this is done you can remove combofix by doing the following
Click START then RUN
Now type Combofix /u
also double check hijack this for those entries I mentiond earlier if they are gone then you should be all set you may still want to run superantispyware but everything else looks good

If you are certain it is a virus, usually your anti-virus would have a clean option.
If not can you just delete the file a.bat which appears to be on the root of c:\
if it replicates after reboot check msconfig (start--> run, type msconfig) startup tab and see if anything in there looks suspicious. You can uncheck boxes to remove something from startup.
If you have a virus name, there may be a cleaner you can download. Double check your virus definitions for your scanner is up to date.
