You probably removed just the files or the scanner that you used only removed physical files and didn't revert the reg entries that have been modified by the worm, hence the policy settings still intact.

2. If you want to just fix the symptom temporarily, you can try this tool.

Download FixDrive.zip and save it to Desktop
Unzip the file and extract the contents (FixDrive.exe and readme.txt) to a folder
Double FixDrive.exe to run it
Select the drive-letter from the list that's exhibiting the problem
Click Fix

I know I didn't post in this or the other question the poster asked to be deleted, but I have to comment. It appears that rajasekarramasamy was not willing to try any of the good suggestions that were given.

That probably would have fixed it. I don't think points should be refunded on this one as poster was not willing to try anything that was suggested.
