Were you able to confirm whether it is malware or not?
If it is, you may want to search your system for any other files with the same date/time as the offending one.
Thanks and good luck.

I was able to rectify it by going into the registry and removing the reference to FTIGINA.DLL but am curious where it came from. Not finding much info on the web.
Thanks

Assuming there is no typo in the file name, it suggests malware, or possibly part of some little used or custom application.

Here are some steps you can take:
(1) Locate the file with Windows Explorer (often it may be in c:\windows\ or in c:\windows\system32\
Right-click on the file and select "Properties"
Note the date and time it was created/modified.
Click on the "Version" tab (or "Details" in Vista)
Note the name of the company that created the file.
(If there is no "Version" or "Details" tab the file MAY be malware.)
(2) Submit the file to both the following sites for an online scan:
http://www.virustotal.com/
http://virusscan.jotti.org
They will scan it and let you know within minutes if it is known malware.
