Thanks for the tips. It turned out that MBAM removed the malware like promised, but only of you don't touch any of the popups that open during the scan. When you close those annoying windows, the computer halts and the scan fails.

A friend has this malware installed on his computer. I've found the removal manual below, but the computer became terribly slow, and finally shut down. I'm going over there later today, and would like to know if this virus can be removed using a Linux live cd, or using another method. <br />
