Question

Removing a Trojan, Trojan is blocking websites.

I am trying to manually remove a Trojan/bot from a computer. I believe I have removed all processes and files related to the processes, however, it is still blocking access to security websites, like windows update, symantec, etc..
I have run the following, but have not found any problems: hijackthis, spybot, norton antivirus, SmitfraudFix
I have tried Opera and Firefox with the same problems.
I have tried IE in "no-addin" mode
I have tried in windows safe mode
I have been told that the Trojan may have injected malicious code onto some of the normal windows files, but I don't know.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem without reinstalling windows?

Yea, pinging www.google.com works fine. Any website that is not security related works and loads fine. It is only blocking security related sites. The strange thing is that I can ping them too. They just give me a 404 in all the web browsers

1. use  the cleaner from moosoft.com  to check trojans
2. try pinging  from to another on same network another  machine and vice versa  
if both are not working check if they manupilated  with host file under %system%/system32/drivers/etc
and reset the  windows  firewall  back  to faults  
3. avoid  using spyware software that cause more problems more  than they fix

reset internet explorer  settings  to default
uninstall  your antivirus and delete  the  folder  for it
reinstall it  from  scratch and  update and scan  for  virus

if all that  dun  work scan the hard disk on different  pc

Check the Hosts file Under C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc folder and verify that it doesn't contain the entries of the websites mapped to 127.0.0.1

A default hosts file should look like :

If it doesn't look like the above one backup the Hosts file and delete all the other entries other than the 127.0.0.1 localhost entry.

If your Hosts file is clean,
can we look at a Hijackthis log?

Also try running these tools;

Moosoft cleaner keeps hanging up on office files, I will run it when I have time to let it sit all day....
pinging between network computers works fine.
Hosts file looks fine.
I have gone through IE settings several times... also, it is not anything unique to IE because Opera and Firefox do the same.

The above entry is bad and MalwareBytes takes care of it.
Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop. check for Updates before scanning.

SDFix fixed the problem! I still had some dll and other files left on the system. Ill include the SDFix report here just for reference:
