RootKit Infection

I got infected with a rootkit. It turned off my Antivirus (AVIRA) , my antispyware (Spyware Doctor), my firewall (Comodo Pro). It also changed my wallpaper to a all black, thumbnails stop appearing, and stopped the installation of all security tools. It also closed Internet Explorer when I tried doing a online scan and blocked Opera and Firefox when I tried doing the same.

What I did:

Runned combofix by changing his name. Because combofix is not compatible with vista didn't worked so well. Then I went to msconfig and dehactivated all startup. I could then reinstall Spyware Doctor and do a complete scan. It detected some trojans and removed then.

Installed Avira again and run a deep scan ( 2 hours!!!). Also more of a few trojans.

At this stage all seemed fine but I was not happy with it. Then installed UnHackMe and dehactivated all that he told me that was wrong. Only left the usb modem as he detected the proces as a rootkit.

Not being yet satisfied I runned F-Secure Blacklight rootkit remover and nothing detected.

I tryed changing back my wallpaper and I can't. The thumbnails doesn't appear. So... I was not happy!

Spyware Doctor has a erratic behaviour. It's was the most affected tool. After some rebboting to use UnHackMe it turned off completely! I unistalled it.

Downloaded and installed A-squared free and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. Another problem. They can't update and my internet connection is working well. So, I suspect that something is still wrong with my machine.

I need help to put ALL back to normal WITHOUT doing a clean install. Any sugestions?
