Is this safe software

I have friend who purchased PC Speedscan Pro from Ascentive software. I am concerned this may be suspect software. Can anyone confirm this is safe/dangerious??

it Appears to be a genuine system utilities product , however the reviews and customer feedback isn't that great.

I would highly advise against it  just from the customer feedback alone regardless if it is a rogue application or not.

When you start googling reports on many unhappy customers that have bought this program, you would say it's just one of those fake utilities that does more harm than good.
I would suggest uninstalling. IF your friend really need a registry scanner then suggest TuneUp Utilitites, or Registry Mechanic.
The registry is not something we can take for granted, it's much  better for a user not to use any registry scanner at all unless it is a well known reliable one.

For a good, free registry cleaner try eusing registry cleaner. It will go through and clean out your registry without any problems. Also, a good way to check if software is legit, see if its on download.com, they typically only have legit stuff up.
