Background:
A few days ago, I closed a question about Antivirus-related issues. What I learned is that an important rule is, never have more than one Anvivirus product on your machine at a time, generally speaking.
But now I've discovered Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.o
But I don't know what kind of product this is. On the Malwarebytes site, it says that "It includes a number of features, including a built in protection monitor that blocks malicious processes before they even start."
Nevertheless, with Malwarebytes installed, I've checked the processes using System Explorer, and I don't see anything related to Malwarebytes.

I have used AVG and Malwarebytes side by side for quite some time with zero issues.
Malwarebytes is an antimalware suite designed to compliment your current anti-virus product.
As for not seeing the service running, I believe you are referring to Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Protection Module. If so, this requires registration.
Activating the full version unlocks realtime protection, scheduled scanning, and scheduled updating. For consumers and personal use, it is a one time fee of $24.95.
