Is the download starting at all? Or stopping have ways.
This error massage indicates usually an incompatibility of other software running or an infection of a virus or spyware.
MacAfee checks for those threads before installing.

Did you previously have any other security software installed on your computer before installing McAfee?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After doing some searching it appears you might be infected with a virus. I could be wrong, but I suggest you try the following.

First, download Malwarebytes Anti-malware. Save the install file to your desktop. If when you execute the install file to try and install it and it does nothing be sure to rename the install file to mbam-setup40.exe. Once it is installed navigate to the below directory.

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Rename the mbam.exe file to mbam40.exe. Then click the update tab and make sure you have the latest updates. Tell it to run an update. Now you need to restart your computer. As it is starting back up hit the F8 key to boot into safe mode. Select the safe mode option. Once in safe mode open up MBAM and run a Quick Scan and remove any infections that it finds. Then copy and paste the log file that should pop up in a notepad file when it is done and post it here.

Download MBAM:

After doing that, please download Hijackthis. Tell it to run a system scan and save a log file (Do this in safe mode as well). When it is done it will display a notepad file that contains the log. Please copy and paste it here or attach the notepad file so I can analyze it. Do not attempt to fix any of the entries until I look at the log file.

Try the following ...

1- Open Internet Explorer
Click Tools>internet options>advanced.
Tick..Disable Script Debugging.
Untick..Display notification about every script error.
Try downloading again.

If that didn't work... do the following

2- Click here to download
http://download.hijackthis.eu/HJTInstall.exe

Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
Click on Install.
It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
Come back here to this thread and attach the log, DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet.

3- download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
Restart your computer
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
Choose your usual account.
Once in Safe Mode, open the SmitfraudFix folder again and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted: "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.

A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please attach the content of that report into your next reply.

The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Warning: running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.
