I followed exactly what you said and when I ran the virus scan in safe mode it did not find or clean the virus. I re-booted and ran it again and it was still there. Saying it could not remove it.

Browse All TopicsI have NTOSKRNL Hook that shows up when I run current version of McCaffee that is up to date. I also ran Maleware Bot and it does not locate this. It only shows up on Virus Scan. Says it's removed but shows up everytime I run it. It's doing something weird on my start up.
Please help in how to get this off.

Run your antivirus/antimalware scans in Safe Mode. Prior to that though, disable System Restore. om/kb/3104 05 om/showthr ead.php?t= 226946
System Restore. Directions can be found here:

Once System Restore is disabled, reboot into Safe Mode (F8 at startup) and run a scan.
