No IE after removing Antivirus 2009

An e-mail was opened yesterday giving us Antivirus 2009, ran malwarebytes, rebooted, now cannot get to a webpage.  We can ping out, but cannot browse.  Followed instructions on removing virus from registry.  What's next?
