Advice about IGFXSRVC.exe

Ah...PC without virus software....dont ask :)

When trying to run any EXE getting a pop up "warning application can not be executed the file IGFXSRVC.exe is infected please activate your anti virus software"

browser is accessible but that's about it....figured it is malware or worse backdoor trojan etc.  wondering if there is any fix besides a full format.

tried to roll through a browser based trend micro but constant pop ups of the same error

saw a few things on the net but nothing very concrete and wanted to check a more trusted place such as good old EE.

thanks in advance and as always it is appreciated immensely.

The File IGFXSRVC.exe is not malicious , however , such popups usually indicate rogue antispyware or other trojan infection, please post a hijack this log, and run Malwarebyutes Antimalware scan , allow it to fix any infections, if the problem persists you may want to give Combofix a try.

Thanks for the reply appreciated...

The problem is that any exe upon execution the malware kicks in and that error above comes up.   That is why I originally tried to do it within the web browser so the malware/virus whatever didn't kick in noticing I was running an exe.  The further problem remains they are trying to fix this computer while over the phone because I have it sitting in a different city, and the person who set it up never put virus software on it like a ....

But anyway I wish I could get just one of these to work without it triggering the problem.  I will pass along the information anyway but am certain that it will kick the error in again.

Install , run the program & choose "Do a system scan & save a log file"

save log to Disk & attach here

Needed to do a full format because we just couldn't get an exe to run at all.  It was a backdoor trojan and we were at a standstill.  Thank you for the help it was appreciated.
