I followed the instructions included in the libk (http://www.spywarevoid.co
Many of the referenced items in that link (registry entries, dll, etc., did not exist on my machine). A few did & I deleted them. The hoax is still active & runs every time I re-start. There is a red circle with a white X in the system tray, I cannot get rid of it. It pops open all the time & tells me I'm infected, etc.
I'd like to get rid of this thing ALL TOGETHER.
I don't mean to be paranoid, but one of the responses to my previous question suggested http://www.malwarebytes.or
Any help would be appreciated.

I have used malwarebytes (free version) to remove antivirus 2009 and 2010 in the past... it does a very good job, but sometimes you need to run the full scan multiple times to remove all traces.
P.S. Antivirus 2010 has some anti-malwarebytes logic as well... there have been times where I have been unable to access malwarebytes.org to download the installer (fixed by downloading the installer on another pc, and copying to a flash drive)
Other times it will not let me execute the installer (fixed by renaming from mbam to anything else).
Other times it will not let me launch the malwarebytes after it has been installed, (fixed by renaming the executable file to anything else).
Hope this helps & good luck!
